Faded white boat and people aboard, floating further away,
Splashed with waves and getting soaked with the fresh, crisp water;
My friends and family observing the scenery; the scent of freshly cut grass drifting up my nose,
Swiftly floating through the now still water,
Sun; smiling,golden rays streaming onto my back;
And silver lined candyfloss clouds wandering in the far-off background,
If I had any superpower of the word I would either have teleportation or time travel.
I would choose teleportation because you would not have to worry about being late mainly ever because before you can say hola yo soy … you would already be in the destination you wished to be at. For example if there was two important events you needed to be at but they were mainly straight after each other you could quickly think of where you wanted to go next then, bam!, you would be there.
Now time travel is sort of similar to teleportation but a totally different thing at the same time. I think we can all agree that time travel would be a pretty awesome thing to be able to do, I think this because you would be able to go into the future 10 yrs, 20 yrs or any number before or after that and see what the future holds for your life, but if you went back in time you would have to be careful because if you were to change to many things or even a single thing it might mess up who you today and that could get quite confusing!

Why do we do the JHC exchange each year and every year when all we are doing is spending more time, money and effort on one thing when we could be using it on something else? Every year we do the JHC [James Hargest College] exchange doing a wide selection of sports such as hockey, netball ,football plus many more.
First of all, heaps of families have to welcome a total stranger into their house and spend money on more food. Families could be spending that money on other things that are more helpful for them like food, transportation and clothes. They also have to make sure their billet eats enough, is happy about staying at their house and feels welcome, is at their games on time and a whole lot more
Secondly, I think the disco at the end of the week excludes the people who did the quiz and dodgeball. I know it does not go towards the shield but they still competed against JHC, did they not? Also what about the people who did not have a billet or play a sport but were still on the sidelines for mainly each and every sport watching and cheering on for the school.
Lastly, I believe that James Hargest exchange is WAY too competitive because for weeks everyone tries their hardest trialing for all the sports they are good at and love to play. For the netball the yr 7 & 8 teams were basically the same top teams for the 7 & 8 teams for each Saturday so other people do not get a chance to play.. WIth all the other sports I do not know how the trials worked but I know heaps of people put a lot of work into trying to get into teams but working away disappointed about not getting in the teams.
All in all I think James Hargest should not go on any further for all the reasons above.Being too competitive, too much of a hassle with time and money and it excludes people from the disco even though they did something to help by cheering their friends on or being in a sport that doesn’t go toward the shield.

With the 1st on I have done pretty well because I have picked up some rubbish even though I did not get any praise because you don’t need praise to do it.
With the second one have done ok though sometimes I might forget to put stuff in the the right place and just shove it in.

Every year at Christmas time we go camping and after we go home and the rest of my family comes together from Dunedin and Invercargill to my house. Normally we have a lunch/dinner together. All of us chat and have a good old catch up. Me and my 13 year old cousin are the youngest so we usually ditch everyone and go into my room and do some sort of art or crafts. Then after dinner It is time to say good bye to every one and go back up to camp. 
As I crept into the deserted forest. I blinked a few times and rubbed my eyes to make sure they were not seeing things. I opened them slowly. There, right in front of me were hundreds maybe even thousands of beavers standing in grey over sized cloaks staring at the one and only tree, damaged but still standing tall. I started to bend down to touch one to see if they were real or if my eyes were just playing tricks on me. My hand feels the bumpy texture. All of them scuttle away scared. I am alone once again. 
There it is, in the green bush! I could see a gray silhouette starting to appear, rustling the leafs loudly as it goes. Suddenly it jumps out of the bush right in front of me! The creature has a long brown tail that sticks right up in the air just like a squirrel. But hang on… it has a strong and hard lime shell that looks exactly like it had come off a tortoise. Wait, it even has short grey stumpy legs with wrinkles all over them. So it’s a tortoise? No it can’t be this thing also has fluffy face that is somehow connected to the shell. It’s eyes were black and beady just like there was just eye sockets and no eyes at all. “What is that?” I asked myself “Torle, squritis, no definitely a squritis!”
When I got home that day I did some research and it turns out these animals only eat cheese and crackers topped off with salmon, fishes eyes and acorns with blueberry sauce. They are quite lazy so they normally get fast food such as g-root which is mainly a frog’s leg with lots of green weeds and brown dirt roots, fasp food place where the sell wasps only wasps!
Well I hope you have learnt some things about the squritis well all of these facts should be new to you because I made this animal up!
